Accounting Specialist - Senior: On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for an Accounting Specialist - Senior for a contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Lone Tree, Colorado office.
Cash Accounting is a vital part of the Controller's organization, focusing on the timely and accurate reconciliation of the Company's cash accounts. The department collaborates closely with Treasury, Cash Operations, and Corporate and Bank Accounting to ensure proper transaction recording and safeguarding of cash assets.

Role Responsibilities
- • Perform various daily, monthly, and quarterly corporate-level cash accounting functions within the Controllers department.
• Prepare journal entries for cash transfers and write-offs. • Reconcile general ledger cash and investment accounts to bank statements. • Execute controls for SOX compliance in maintaining the books and records. • Collaborate with Cashiering, Operations, Treasury, and other internal organizations for accurate transaction recording and account reconciliation. • Produce accurate and timely management reporting. • Assist with the reconciliation of Accounts Receivable General Ledger accounts. • Work with billing teams on customer account maintenance, applied payments research, and deposit corrections. • Complete the month-end process for Accounts Receivable, including reclasses and reporting. • Process client refunds.
- Mandatory Skills: • 3-5 years of related high-volume cash reconciliation experience. • Solid understanding of GAAP. • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word. • Familiarity with large-company enterprise reporting systems. • Clear and concise communication skills. • Proactive, results-oriented operating style.
- Nice-to-Have Skills: • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials, ReconNet, Alteryx, and automated account reconciliation software. • Financial services industry experience.
- Assignment Length: This is a 10-month contract position.
