Risk Manager, Technology Risk: On behalf of our financial services client, Procom is searching for a Risk Manager, Technology Risk for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 1 day onsite at our client’s Calgary office.

Risk Manager, Technology Risk - Job Description: In the capacity of IT Risk Manager, you will collaborate with the Senior Risk Manager to enhance operational resilience framework. The project involves integrating operational resilience and control testing activities into broader enterprise risk management programs.

Risk Manager, Technology Risk - Responsibilities: • Direct the analysis of operational risk events to identify root causes and implement corrective measures. • Evaluate operational risk event impacts and report significant occurrences as operational losses or near misses. • Review and authorize major IT changes, ensuring successful implementation and testing. • Plan, execute, and document control testing to assess key controls' design and effectiveness. • Facilitate OSFI E21 implementation and manage the development of severe event scenarios. • Enhance operational risk analysis, change oversight, and resilience initiatives. • Monitor remediation for deficiencies in incident, change, or resilience management. • Develop and report on key performance indicators and risk metrics. • Coach and mentor team members in risk management practices.

Risk Manager, Technology Risk - Mandatory Skills: • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in risk management, IT audit, or technology governance roles. • Expertise in control testing and regulatory compliance frameworks. • Experience with OSFI Guidelines implementation (e.g., OSFI E 21, B10, B13). • Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT, ISO 31000). • Exceptional analytical skills for synthesizing complex information. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related discipline.

Risk Manager, Technology Risk – Nice-to-Have Skills: • Proficiency in leveraging automation, data analytics, or AI for resilience program enhancements. • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or similar certification. • Experience presenting findings to senior leadership. • Knowledge of governance tools (e.g., Metricstream, Archer, ServiceNow GRC). • Ability to influence cross-functionally.

Risk Manager, Technology Risk – Assignment Length: This is a 12-month contract position with a possibility for extension.
