What we covered and how the workshop unfolded
This online workshop focused on a practical question: how can individuals and teams take their first steps toward working in an AI-native way? Using Codex and GitHub as starting points, the session explored how local agents can learn from open-source code, repository structures, and real development processes, then gradually take part in everyday knowledge organization, development, and collaboration.
Choosing GitHub as the setting for learning had particular significance. It holds more than code: it also records issues, discussions, versions, and ways to contribute. As participants begin to understand repository organization, commits, and open-source collaboration, it becomes easier to bring AI tools into workflows that are traceable, reusable, and have clear accountability, instead of leaving them in one-off conversations.
The online discussion moved through account preparation, desktop tool installation, learning materials, and practical use cases. For people new to agents, this path from basic setup to real projects made it easier to get started. For more experienced participants, it also created space to discuss how individual experiments could develop into team practices.
